Ignition control

SparkLogic

Coil drop and timing retard for Gen III Hemi engines, commanded by GripLogic with no Holley ECU.

SparkLogic CAD render

SparkLogic circuit board, top side.

What it does

  • Takes the same two retard and drop command wires GripLogic sends a Holley ECU.
  • Retards timing by delaying the crank and cam signals, with a bypass relay that passes them through untouched if the box fails.
  • Drops cylinders by switching each coil's power feed, at zero coil current.
  • Works with stock two-pin coils or smart coils.

Not to scale. Check the numbers molded on the connector before wiring. Pin colors only show each pin's function. They don't reflect the actual wire colors of any included pigtail.

Before you buy

  • Competition use only. The stock PCM may log crank and misfire codes, which the race tune has to account for.
